Ephemeris/Ephemerides

I've searched the archive but this seems not to have been mentioned before.

I'd like to buy an ephemeris, but can't decide which one would be best/easiest to work with. I'll probably have to buy 2 - one for 20th and one for 21st centuries, so price is an issue too.

Choice seems to be:

American Ephemeris

Raphael's Ephemeris

Rosicrucian Ephemeris.....or any other ?

Any advice or opinions gratefully received.

Chiron — Not Entirely Understood

I bought Barabra Hand Clow's book on Chiron.

I must say it is an interesting read and her take on the rulership on Chiron seems on the ball. For those wondering her theory is that Chiron rules Virgo and the 6th house and that the Virgo/Pisces 6th/12th house axis are significant. In relation to Chiron she goes on to explain the effects of several interactions in a natal chart that I am having difficulty finding the info online. Interactions such as Yods dealing with Chiron, various aspects to Chiron from the planets and luminaries, even the importance of intercepted signs particularly Virgo/Pisces in the natal chart. There's too much info to put down in this space so you'll need to get the book.

With all of the useful info Ms Clow gives, the one thing that isn't so clear is how to activate Chiron. The book is written from a more right-brained perspective and as a more left-brained person it's slightly more difficult to read. As I look at my chart I notice that I am going through a Chiron square, or Chiron square Chiron. This is my first Chiron square aka the lower square and it is happening at the same time as my Saturn Return with Chiron and Saturn opposed each other. I wonder how that could play out?

Getting back to my statement of purpose for this thread I don't know how to activate my Chiron so that I can utilize its energy. I have clues in the form of my natal Chiron aspects and placements but I'm having trouble putting it all together. So please any help would be appreciated.

Chiron natal placements and aspects:
-- Chiron in the 2nd house
-- Chiron in Taurus
-- Chiron sextile Jupiter
-- Chiron trine Saturn (although it's a weak trine)
-- Chiron oppose Uranus
-- Chiron quincunx MC (Jupiter also quincunx MC forming the Yod)
-- Virgo/Pisces intercepted (included only because the book dedicated a section to this info)

I hope the above info helps.
