I wanted to start a new thread specifically for this time frame, in light of reading petros' bit from astrologyforthesoul.com in the other saturn thread

I'm still pretty much an astro-noob, but i want to try to take a look at what is happening for me around that time, and maybe fellow saturn-returners for this time period can compare notes. All thoughts/comments welcome!
I have 7th house saturn and was born in 1980, My n saturn is at 27 virgo..
Saturn is ruler of my 12th, and co-ruler for 1st house (1st by traditional rulership of aqua..?)
The first hit i think for me is oct 3 2009
Just from taking a quick look i noticed
on that day...
(as far as that yucky tsquare)
-pluto will still be conjuncting my merc, and uranus still in my first house
(merc ruler of my 4th and fifth, and coruler of 7th by interception)
-t mars will be squaring my n. pluto a few days before, on sept 30, and move on to trine my uranus by oct 5th
-t chiron trine n pluto
-sun will be squaring my natal sun on saturn day for me as well (sun is ruler of my 7th)
In a more broad look,
-will have had jupiter squaring n. uranus a few months before
-the uranus trine n uranus will have begun in sept
- i will still be dealing with the neptune square uranus (just seen the first hit a few weeks ago)
I think the uranus square n neptune will be done by then by a few months
-transiting north node will be trining my natal saturn
I am still getting used to solar fire, so i'm not even sure i did this right
I still use astro.com for most stuff because i am used to it and kind of like the transit calendar bar graph on there
progressed moon will still be in my 7th by then
I think that t. north node will be crossing my ascendant into the 12th sometime in 2009 too..havent looked for an exact time yet
sounds like a fun year :D

Question? When a planet, let's say mercury, goes into retrograde, does this affect the person with natal mercury direct as it would affect the person with natal mercury retrograde? I happen to have many retrograde planets in my natal chart - born in 1982. When the planets enter retrograde periods, I wonder if those time are more comfortable motions for me because of my birth chart. For expample, I tend to have some communication barriers in general (natal mercury retrograde) but when mercury goes retrograde, I sometimes feel that communication for ME is somewhat better and my though at not as scattered and overwhelming.

Does the house a planet is in affect the way an aspect presents itself? Like, not just being the energy of the planets involved, but also taking into account the energies of whatever houses/signs the planets are in.
I'm wondering this because I have Pluto in the 12th house, and it aspects almost everything in my chart.
