I’ve been thinking a lot about astronuts and have decided that to the astrology novice there are a lot of topics, posts and opinions that would plain baffle the person who is just looking at a simpler understanding of what does their Moon in Aries mean or their Mercury in Pisces.

Of course we all know that there is more to every chart than just a Moon sign, Sun Sign or some aspect that becomes flavour of the month. However even for the more experienced astrologers I think it is refreshing to discuss and think about the basics again.

I am going to start posting topics which relate just to these very basics over the next month or so, starting with the Astrological Sun. I will move onto the other planets and then might discuss the signs themselves and the aspects or houses.

It seems to my mind that Astronuts was formed so that we could all share in astrological discussion, whatever our level. As the experienced Sag would tell you, often the master becomes the pupil when teaching. I would suggest that this is true for many of the astronuts regualrs also!

So I am not promoting my website, my latest book, my newest course or anything like that. I just want an open discussion on Astrology.

Starting with the Sun. What is the significance of the Sun in Astrology? Do you consider it more or less important than other planets such as the Moon or perhaps the Ascendant? Is the Sun what we were born to become, or is it a potential that we might unfold? How does the Sun relate to the father?

Everyone is welcome to post in this thread but let’s try to keep it on topic, but I would prefer if the discussion is limited to the Sun in general, and not to the other planets. I’ll be posting topics on them when we’ve discussed the Sun.
