Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. It is ruled by Mars, the planet of action and ultimately strength and integrity of those actions. Through the sign of Aries Mars expresses these qualities in an extroverted, forceful way.

A person with a lot of Aries influence will be very active. They may like sports and competition. They may also be somewhat pushy and aggressive and impatient. It will be important for them to channel that naturally aggressive nature into some sort of physical activity so as to avoid becoming irritable.

One thing to remember about dealing with a person who has a lot of Aries energy is they are quite childlike. Sometimes they are impatient and quick to get angry, like a screaming child, but also very quick to forgive and move onto the next thing, once they get their bottle. This natural enthusiasm is contagious.

Indeed, they are like the instant of the zodiac. But calling them the infant doesn’t mean they are necessarily childish. They have a naïveté that allows them to forget about the past or quickly so that they are able to move forward and manage their life courageously.

The soul incarnated as Ares is learning to take on many new challenges. They are excited with all the new tasks that await in this new stage of soul development. Mars gives them the courage to challenge themselves and bust down obstacles. Yet Mars is a destructive planet. The Aries person must learn patience and compromise otherwise they will destroy their happiness and the happiness of others.
