Saturn does not bring suffering, he brings truth – the truth of how well we actually know ourSelf – and we can only know ourSelf in solitude.

So he is cold, slowing things down and pulling them inward. Like a blanket of snow he envelops us, removing the joy we usually find in the world of distinctions and preferences. We see the similarities in both darkness and the blinding whiteness of being snowblind. Both are isolating, separating, liberating, unifying, terrifying and the truest measure of how comfortable we really are with ourselves and how many illusions and attachments still must be smashed.

We feel endings, limits, mistakes, fears. But is that all? Is that where it ends? Every new beginning came after an ending. Every birth came after a death. But limitation is our game – our projection.

Nothing real ever dies.

Because we are living in the unreal we fear the death of the unreal. So, GET REAL! – rather than sulk over piles of excrement decaying before your eyes.

Eventually, we must grow up. Lord Shani will see to it that we do. Every month we get to reckon with him,… and so it is this month.

Follow this truth internally and add some external warmth, to give a good contrast.

The Moon is in Taurus today in the Nakshatra of Krittika – ruled by the Sun. Taurus shows how the Moon rests on the fixed Earth, settled and stable in the emotions and heart. We can feel much more connected today as the Sun prepares to change sign, at the edge of Aquarius. If you have important business to do – today is a good day to try and do it while the Sun and Saturn are still exchanging signs. There is a lot of energy in Aquarius, mental anxieties and stress could be high today.

This Nakshatra of Krittika is ruled by the Vedic God of Agni, sacred fire – that purifies. Tonight is a good night for a sacred fire ceremony or worship.

Monday March 3, 2008. The Moon is in Capricorn, joined Mercury and Venus. Capricorn is the sign of beginning material pursuits, like earning money. Mercury and Venus there will be helpful in the creative sense and we should feel pretty good as well. The Moon will be in Uttara Ashada for most of the day, ruled by the Sun, who is in Aquarius still in an exchange with Saturn. This solidifies the commitments we can make and the solid plans we can follow through on. Both Saturn and the Sun are planets of duty and power and working hard. These are all themes of the next couple of days.

In a long term sense / this week – Mars and Pluto conjunction awaits – showing the potential for violence and upheaval as discussed last week HERE.

My sense is that Obama will run the table on Tuesday and lock up the nomination. Hard to say because their birth times are not rectified, but that is my sense.
